“My face just had an orgasm!” – my PG nerdy nod to Carrie Bradshaw
That is precisely what I exclaimed after using this generic looking bottled spray toner.
I’m not a toner user. I hardly wear make up. The less products I place on my face the better. However, when a co-worker was simply glowing without being preggo or receiving a facial, I asked what in the hell she was doing to achieve the look.
She told me it was all stemming from the Alaffia toner she had purchased from our glorious workplace, Whole Foods. On my lunch break, I didn’t hesitate to peruse the skin care section….and Hallelujah, it was on sale!!!
I purchased the spray in Neem/Shea Leaf and used it immediately before bed that night.
At first change wasn’t imminent. I mean I did awaken the next morning to a baby’s bottom instead of a sandpaper texture for a face, but I wasn’t thrilled.
It took me about two weeks to finally adopt the same glow my co-worker radiated. All it took were three sprays before bed and in the morning. 6 sprays per day to better skin. (My, I should just audition for the next Proactiv commercial! 😉 )
I attribute the glow to the ingredients. On top of adding some luminosity to my dull skin, it also minimized some of my existing chacne (chin acne) which was an unexpected but welcomed double bonus.
Alaffia toner is available as a combination of Shea leaf with the following: baobab, neem, or rooibos.
They receive all of their ingredients from Togo, Africa and are a certified fair trade company. 10% of all of their sales are put towards their independent community involvement projects. (Seriously, I am all about a great cause and an even better effect!)
Alaffia products are sold at most Whole Foods Markets and some health food stores. Check out their website for more information!
Peace, love and cheers to GLOWING!
