Me + Silk Almond = Milky Bliss

Did you know that you + me = calculus? In the short lived boy band’s (2Gether‘s) terms, it made sense. In my adolescent hearts for eyes over my favorite one of the group, QT, it made more than sense, it was fate. (2gether was added to my barrage of boy band crushes and fantasy marriages back in the day.)

While the heart eyes have now melted back into their normal brown selves, I have moved on to bigger, better, and creamier things.

Almond milk. Specifically Silk Almond Milk.

There were quite a few brands that rivaled for my heart before the true suitor that is Silk Almond won me over.

Blue Diamond, sorry to say, your carrageenan was not appealing in the long run.

Pacific Natural Foods, there is nada natural about you.

Almond Dream, you’re taste isn’t so dreamy.

In all seriousness, I’ve tasted multiple brands and none of them have made me enjoy the taste as much or feel as secure with the ingredient listing as Silk Almond Milk has.

As a non-GMO advocate, it makes me all warm inside when I see that they have been accepted into a part of the NON-GMO project. Win, Win.

I am not kidding when I say almonds are probably coursing through my veins instead of blood. Between almond milk and almond butter, I’m surprised I haven’t gone nuts (in the best way possible) yet. 😉

Here are a few ways I use Silk Almond milk:

This is fresh off the tastebuds, but I just used the Silk Almond unsweetened vanilla milk in my eggs pictured above and the results were glorious! If you are vegetarian (like me) or even vegan, this is a great option if you want to maintain the creaminess in a dish.

    This sounds like a great substitute for cream (which I can’t do), and soy (which is not great for me).
