Ring the alarm. It’s another pumpkin recipe comin’ at ya!
The decline of pumpkin is one of the saddest times of the year for me. I know most of you stop consuming this versatile food on thanksgiving, but for me it’s a year round thing.
While we’re in the midst of the holidays, I figured I’d make a few batches of fall inspired creations. Thank you pinterest for this one!
This is a super quick and easy recipe, but just make sure NOT to burn your first batch like I did.
My half burnt but still good version…
Oh and the prep and cooking instructions? Piece of pie. Literally.
The original recipe called for:
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 4 tbs honey
- 1 tsp vanilla
- sea salt
Bake at 325 for 20 minutes. But seriously- watch them closely! Honey burns quickly! PS- you know those are not my measurements. These are guidelines you should be following for all you sticklers for measuring people.
I’ll definitely be including these and variations of these in my Christmas gift goody bags. Hopefully you’re one of the lucky ones on the receiving end! 😉
Have you ever made your own nuts and seasonings? What was the outcome?
Peace, love, and nutritious holiday gift ideas!
