It is that lovely time of year again when leaves litter the ground, fall scents are in the air, and hopefully that candy’s NOT in your mouth.
I think it’s worth sharing, not for gloating purposes, but goal purposes, that last night was only the first time I indulged in candy all season.
I know we are still several weeks away from the big “H”, but this year, I’m NOT even tempted. (Willpower, what?)
Over the past few months, I’ve changed my eating habits gradually. As you know, I’ve been consuming a mainly vegetarian diet and as much as I love my occasional beef or bacon indulgence, my stomach has given me thanks that it’s only been a once or twice a month thing.
With adopting a mainly plant-based diet, my cravings have diminished considerably. I had never realized it before, but due to all of the sugar consumption, my stomach was constantly bloated.
I enjoy not feeling or looking like a balloon about to pop. I still indulge when the craving monster lurks, but for the most part, I’ve begun to TASTE and ENJOY my food.
Mindless eating is shockingly an easy habit to break once you have the necessary thought process and tools in your hands, but I’ll save that for another post.
Things like this start to happen: I am now so spoiled by my own cooking that it’s become a HASSLE to dine out. Yes, you read that right, HASSLE, not HABIT.
Now that all things scary, creepy crawly, and spooky are upon us, I figured this abs workout would hopefully keep your mind on your abs, so you’ll rethink grabbing for the 42nd fun-sized candy.
What kind of spookiness are you guys up to? Have you been resisting or giving into the candy and sweets?
Peace, love, and abdominals!
