I have been beyond slacking posting recipes on the blog lately. Life gets in the way of what I really desire to do all the time, so I’m planning this post out 2 days in advance to ensure it actually gets completed!
A few days ago, I decided to experiement in the kitchen once again. I have some issues with belly bloat lately and usually smoothies always help me out. I did about two and a half miles on the treadmill plus kayaking, so my body was beaten and depleted of nutrients.
Here’s where the blender comes in handy!
Into the mix went:
-1 cup of lowfat milk
-1 scoop Sun Warrior chocolate protein powder
-handful of Puffins- (PB/Chocolate flavor)
-few almonds and walnuts
-half a banana
-pinch of flax seed
This was the perfect night time snack/post workout. I always feel like I’m doing my body good after I have a smoothie. The possibilities for ingredients are endless!
I highly recommend this for all you sweet tooth gals and guys out there! It will fill you up without filling you out!
